OPPORTUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT (BELOW) FOR DETAILS ON ADDITIONAL INFORMATION,
EVALUATION CRITERIA, AND HOW TO PREPARE YOUR APPLICATION.

The primary mission of the Department of Energy (DOE), National Energy
Technology Laboratory (NETL) through this cost-shared Advanced Diagnostics
and
Imaging Systems (ADIS) funding opportunity notice is to develop advanced
diagnostic tools and technologies that will provide higher resolution and
more
precise rock and fluid properties for reservoir targets in U.S. basins,
providing a more cost-effective, and reliable supply of natural gas to meet

demands in new and expanded market regions. The purpose of the proposed
funding opportunity notice is to develop new technologies to reduce risk in

exploration and development of deeper gas and tight fractured reservoirs.

The objective of this funding opportunity is to receive applications for
cost-shared research projects that will develop new exploration tools and
technologies to obtain better spatial data for quantification of reservoir
volumes at depths greater than 15,000 feet and in tight fractured
reservoirs.
Advances in acquisition, processing and imaging that provide more precise
reservoir properties are required to develop these resources in deep and
tight
gas plays. Such advances in diagnostic and imaging technologies will lead
to
new field discoveries and to improved development strategies for optimizing

production in existing fields.
